Bill studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, and then was awarded his PhD by Imperial College London in 1990, after completing a thesis on the behaviour of cereal aphid parasitoids. This work was completed at Rothamsted (www.rothamsted.ac.uk). He then took a Post-doctoral fellowship at ICIPE in Nairobi, Kenya, for three years ( www.icipe.org ) and successfully worked on the identification of pheromones and kairomones of the banana weevil.
Bill then returned to the UK and set up Tracksys Ltd as the UK and Ireland distributor for Noldus (www.noldus.com) in October 1993. His vision was for a responsive company that provided a deep and knowledgeable assessment of the products it was distributing, and the scientific understanding to see whether they could be useful in customers’ (potential) research, backed up by excellent after sales support. These values of honesty and commitment to customers are held by all our staff today. Our vision is that as much as possible of your contact with the company will be handled by the same person, leaving less room for misunderstandings, and less need to repeat information about the research during after sales support.
Bill is no longer active day to day, but remains a Director.
