Overview

DanioVision is a complete solution for measuring the activity and movement patterns of zebrafish larvae, for use in a variety of experiments such as those focussing on: stereotypic and epileptic behaviours; circadian rhythmicity; motor control; movement disorders and neural development.  It comprises the DanioVision Observation Chamber and EthoVision XT video tracking software including the Trial and Hardware Control Module and Multiple Arenas Module pre-installed on a class-A computer.

How it Works

  • Environment controlled in the Observation Chamber, through the exclusion of external light, anti-vibration feet and optional temperature control
  • Infrared (IR) backlit holder emits IR light wavelength not visible to zebrafish
  • Multi-well plate options: 6, 12, 24, 48 or 96 well plates, compatible with standard ANSI and SBS compliant IR-translucent multi-well plates
  • High quality IR-sensitive camera (analog or FireWire) with ideal resolution, frame rate, and shutter speed to track speedy zebrafish larvae
  • White light source acts as a stimulus, which can be TTL-controlled by EthoVision XT software
  • Movement tracked and analysed by EthoVision XT software
