CatWalk

Overview

A novel system for automated quantitative gait analysis in rodents.Objectively and rapidly measure a range of gait parameters including phases and pressure.

How does it work?

1). An animal traverses the walkway in a darkened room.

2). Light strikes the walkway from beneath. Where the animals paws touch the glass it is scattered.

3). A video feed of the pattern of light scattering is automatically analysed by the CatWalk software.
