Behavioural Observation Labs.

Overview

We design, install, support and provide training for a range of behavioural observation laboratories from simple one-camera systems through to complex usability labs. featuring screen capture, mouse and keyboard logging, automatic emotion measurement and eyetracking.

How does it work?

  1. Position your cameras so that you can view your behaviours from the angles necessary for your analysis.
  2. Position discrete wall or ceiling microphones and/or fit participants with clip-on or radio microphones.
  3. Mix videos images using video mixers, switchers or quads so that images can be synchronised and combined on a single recording. Mix audio so that all relevant sounds and vocalisations can be heard clearly on the same recording.
  4. Record to DVD, DV tape and/or hard-drive.
  5. Capture screen, mouse, keyboard, eye and emotional state information automatically.
  6. Trigger recording on a range of other devices synchronously
  7. During recording, control cameras remotely: Zoom into important details and follow participants' movements.
  8. Code and analyse your observation in The Observer XT 11.
