Using EthoVision to investigate the behaviour of insect pests
Dr Steve Belmain. Pest Ecologist - Natural Resources Institute
At the Natural Resources Institute (NRI) of the University of Greenwich EthoVision is being used as a tool to understand the chemical ecology and behaviour of various insect pests. This includes the chemical ecology of predator-prey interactions between Prostephanus truncatus and Teretrius nigrescens. The system is also used to examine the photo-response behaviour of the deathwatch beetle, Xestobium rufovillosum.
