Event Logging Interface (ELI)

For use with EthoVision or The Observer XT, the event logging interface automatically logs data received from external devices (e.g. Passive-Infrared (PIR) detectors, operant levers, beam break detectors, foot switches, and many more). The information the ELI collects is incorporated into the data files of EthoVision or The Observer XT so it can be included in any analysis you do.

Each ELI has 8 input channels that can independently set to record events (occurrence only) or states (on/off). Up to 3 ELIs can be attached in series, allowing 24 separate channels to be recorded at the same time.

Press and Hold Down Keyboard

Scoring a succession of short-duration behaviours can be simplified using the press & hold down keyboard (PHDK). Unlike a standard keyboard where different keys must be selected to switch behaviours on and off, the PHDK allows the user to simply hold a key down while  particular behaviour is happening and then release the key when the behaviour stops.

Spectacles Camera

A pair of glasses with a miniature camera filming exactly what the user sees! Ideal for mobile scene recording applications, especially when used in combination with a ultra-light pocket video recorder. You can analyse the video with The Observer XT, either on-site or in the lab.
